I try to live an honest life - what you see is what you get. And what I say is what I try to live by. In my life, family has always been my support. Through all of the ups and downs, they are the ones who have been there to guide and help me along the way to become the woman I am today.

As you’ve read in some of my recent blogs, I’ve been preaching about taking family portraits “just because” with no special reason. It’s important to document your special family connections during the here and now, because you never know what tomorrow may bring. So I decided that I should live up to what I’ve been preaching and schedule my own family portrait session with my dad, stepmom, and sister. We hadn’t taken portraits all together since their wedding 10 years ago. So it was definitely past due for them. I admit that being in front of the camera is not my favorite thing either. But I am so glad to have these beautiful images of my family. I’d like to give a big shout out to Hope Truax Photography (ig: @hope.truax.photography ) of Jackson Hole, Wyoming for taking time out of her vacation to do this for me.
